House Plants from Amazon

I am constantly on a quest to discover all that Amazon has to offer. Just when I think I've figured out everything Amazon can possibly sell, I find out they sell something even more unexpected than before. Did you know Amazon sells house plants? I am not kidding! You can order a number of different plants online at Amazon. After ordering your house plants, they actually show up in the mail.

So how does this work? Basically, you can search for a number of different house plants. Plenty of companies offer a variety of plants on Amazon. Once you order the plants, they show up in the mail in a box. Yes, they come in a small starter pot packed in a box. It is amazing how far these house plants can travel in the mail in a secure package. Yes, they even show up in one piece! I ordered a spider plant from Amazon for my mother and it traveled from California all the way to Maryland. The plant was in excellent condition.

Reasons to Buy Your Plant Online

You might wonder, why would you need to order a house plant from Amazon? Why not just go to the store? Well, there are plenty of reasons.

You might live in an area that doesn't have a lot of stores that sell specific plants. Also, you might want to give a house plant as a gift, but you are not able to travel and visit the person receiving the plant. If you have health issues and are pretty much unable to leave your home, you can easily order a plant from Amazon and have beautiful house plants to cheer up your day. Perhaps you just simply don't have the time to shop for house plants in your area, but there is a certain type of plant you want.

No matter what the reason, ordering a plant on Amazon is not as weird as you might have originally thought. We all have reasons for ordering products online. The same reasons apply to ordering a house plant.

What You Should Expect When the Plant Arrives

My own personal experience with ordering house plants online went well. I researched different companies that offered plants on Amazon. Basically, I would recommend searching for a type of plant you'd really like and then reading the reviews for the sellers that offer the plants. If the reviews are bad, you probably want to move on to a different company. If the reviews are great, you should consider purchasing the house plant from that seller. Researching before buying is really helpful.

I also found that Amazon seriously overestimated the time it would take the house plant to arrive. Initially, it appeared the plant would take at least 2 weeks to arrive. This was not the case. The plant arrived in less than one week. So don't necessarily believe it is going to be a long wait to receive your house plant in the mail.

Once the plant arrives, it will be potted in a small starter pot inside a cardboard box. There should be something securing the plant in the box, such as popcorn foam. Even though the house plant has survived a long journey and it is small, it will be ready to be replanted in a bigger pot. It should also be in good condition. If not, from all the reviews I've read, it is fairly easy to nurse the plants to good health in no time.

Once again, I highly recommend reading all the reviews. Don't just order the first plant you see without checking out other options. No matter what your reason for ordering a house plant in the mail, it is not as crazy one might think. So make sure to research the sellers on Amazon and have fun with your mail order house plant!
