The Best Candy is Easter Candy
Easter Candy
Do you love Easter candy? You are not alone. Spring is a terrible time to go on a diet. If you are a candy lover like me, you may as well give up now. I know many people are fans of Halloween candy or Christmas candy, but I am here to say the best candy is Easter candy.
I know you might be thinking a chocolate bunny or jelly beans are really obvious candy choices. If that were the only candy popular in the spring, I certainly would not be this excited. I would like to share my four favorite types of candy in this hub, and every single piece of candy is an Easter candy.
I look forward to seeing my favorite candy arrive at stores each February in preparation for Easter. Some may say February is too early for Easter candy to be stocked in stores, but I say you can never see Easter candy too soon. After all, it is only around for a couple of months, so I think we should all get to buy as much as possible while we can.
Cadbury Eggs
My very favorite candy has to be Cadbury Eggs. The very best kind of egg is the original. The original is a milk chocolate egg with a creamy white and yellow sugary center. The center is intended to look like the inside of a real egg. It is sweet and a little messy. I like to bite part of the chocolate coating and then eat the fake yolk out of the egg, then finish off the rest of the chocolate. I wish I could buy Cadbury Eggs by the pound!
Cadbury Eggs now have more flavors than just the original. You can buy chocolate cream or a caramel center if you prefer. Also, you can have mini-eggs if you are trying to eat less. I still prefer the original, but I certainly never turn down any type of Cadbury Egg.
Marshmallow Peeps
Marshmallow Peeps are delicious little marshmallow chicks. Each chick is covered in sugar. The original peeps were all yellow, but now you can buy them in shades of purple, pink, and blue. This is great for me because I used to be the proud pet owner of a canary. I loved that canary very much and she looked just like a yellow Marshmallow Peep. I tend to stick to the other colors now since they are less "canary like" and no one wants to eat a beloved pet.
Aside from the original peeps, there are bunnies for Easter, as well. New this year for Marshmallow Peeps are peeps dipped in chocolate. You can even get brown chocolate flavored peeps, dipped in chocolate. I just tried one and I highly recommend it!
Maple Cream Egg
One of the best chocolate eggs around are Maple Cream Eggs. If you love maple flavored candy or syrup, this is the candy for you. Maple Cream Eggs have a soft, creamy center that tastes like maple. The maple flavor is not too strong, yet not too light. Russell Stover has certainly perfected the flavor.
Aside from the Maple Cream Egg, you can get other flavors such as strawberry or marshmallow. Personally, I feel like you can buy a lot of strawberry or marshmallow flavored candy. A maple candy is something really special and quite delicious.
Nestle Crunch Nest Eggs
As if Easter candy was not already awesome enough, about 10 years ago Nestle created awesome little Nest Eggs. Sure Nestle Crunch is a good candy, but for some reason, it tastes even better as eggs. I believe it is the convenient bite size egg that makes it so appealing. Each egg is a delicious bite of milk chocolate and crisped rice. You never have to feel too guilty because you can buy an entire bag, but eat just one or two eggs. Of course, it is next to impossible to stop at two, but it can be done. If you haven't tried this tiny little eggs yet, you must buy a bag.
I am not alone with my love of Cadbury Eggs...

Cadbury Eggs are easily the best Easter candy. I wrote a letter to Hershey's to urge them to offer Cadbury creations throughout the year. Do you think they will reconsider?
